To work comfortably and also to be productive at home it’s important to make sure your work space is spacious and stress free. To make sure this is the case consider choosing a larger desk with plenty of storage space.

It you have a dedicated home office, you have many options for the location of your desk. Desks can be situated against a wall, facing a window, or set with your back to the window facing the door (power positioning). But if you are trying to fit a desk into your living space you need to look for the best position, particularly if you are not the only person working or in the home during the day. If you work late, or like to start early, perhaps the bedroom would not be the best place to set up your desk. Other places to consider is a corner of the living room, hall or entryway, or even a space under the stairs (if you have them). Look for a place where you will not be in the way. Be mindful of what you will put on your desk. If you have a desktop computer, consider purchasing a space saving desk with an inbuilt keyboard tray as this will free up the surface space.
Not considering storage at the outset, may mean having to add a storage cabinet underneath your desk, which will make the space look more cluttered, than a desk with inbuilt storage.
